Like Jelly.

Happy Marvelous in my Monday!

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend! I know I did, but I was so sad to see the rain set in last night.  Hopefully it will move on out of here in the  next couple of days!

Y’all go check out Katie’s blog.  She hosts “Marvelous in my Monday” every week and she’s awesome! I’m still new to all of this blog stuff, but she’s definitely one of my favorites!

Y’all, I got my butt kicked at CrossFit today.  Here’s what we did: IMAG0249Those dang burpees are NO JOKE.  My arms are feeling like jelly!

So, I looked up my training plan this morning for the 10k.  Here’s the plan for the week:

Monday – Stretch and strength (I’m going to CrossFit, so that should do it!)Tuesday – Run 2.5miles, CrossFit                                                                        Wednesday – 30 minutes of Cross training. CrossFit                                                 Thursday – I may go to Montgomery to see my friend’s new BABY, but I’m supposed to do 2 miles + strength.                                                                                     Friday – Rest. (I may just use Thursday as my rest day)                                            Saturday – 40 minutes cross training                                                                               Sunday 3.5 miles.

I’m going to do my best this week to keep up with the plan, but it’s going to be a tough one.  I have my bridal shower on Saturday, which The Bestie is coming for, and another bachelorette party Saturday night! It’s going to be a fun one, but I’ll definitely have to tweak the training schedule a little bit.

This morning, I’m about to go take care of some biznazz! It includes registering online for this: CruisetoJam

Carnival keeps sending annoying emails, so I guess I’ll go ahead and register just to shut them up! I wanted to wait a little closer to time, but there’s really no reason I can’t go ahead and take care of it!

For now, I’ll leave you with this: NightofDrinking

Have a great Monday!

It’s Time

Happy Thursday!

I’ve been doing some researching and I think I’ve found a training plan for my 10k! It wasn’t hard, I’ve only used Hal Higdon training plans, so that seemed like the thing to do.  Here’s the plan that I’ll be following. HalHigdon10kTraining2.  I tried to post a picture of it, but I’m computer ignorant and can’t figure it out.

Anyway, I think I’m going to go ahead and start today.  Thursday of week 1 calls for a 2 mile run + strength training.  Shouldn’t be an issue.  I’m heading out the door in 5 for CrossFit. That will count as my strenth.  And the weather is supposed to be awesome this afternoon, so I have to get up off my butt and GO!

By the way, how bright am I today? Just a freaking ray of sunshine! I’m quite the little fashionista, too.  Blue bra, pink shirt, purple pants AND purple socks.  It’s time to do a load or two of laundry, don’t ya think? At least neons are “in” for workout clothes right now!IMAG0222

By the way, have y’all seen this? Snooki Loses 42 Pounds

Not who you want your children to be like, but you know y’all used to watch some Jersey Shore! It was definitely my guilty pleasure.  Who wouldn’t like watching all of those big gorillas get drunk?! Anyway, I think it’s awesome that she’s lost weight!

Also, have y’all heard this song? I’m so obsessed with it right now.  Speaking of music, I’ve GOT to get on downloading some songs!

Imagine Dragons – It’s Time

Oh shit! (Can I even cuss on here? What the hell, it’s my blog! I can if I want.) I just looked on the little sidebar and there are only 16 days left until the WEDDING. I had a small anxiety attack.

Anyway, I’m out! Have a great day!

I went to my first CrossFit class today! I had a really good time and am so excited that I can do it the whole time I’m in Alabama!

The instructor scaled the WOD (workout of the day for you who don’t know the CrossFit lingo yet) since I was new, but I still feel like I could have done more! It went something like this:

WOD March 6, 2013:

400 meter run

30 squats

15 pull-ups (I used a resistance band to help me, but these were still ridiculously hard!)

30 thrusters (Basically these are squats plus shoulder presses.  I used 5lb dumbbells for this exercise.)

Knees to Elbows (I just did regular old sit ups for this one.  And I think I was only supposed to do 15, but I went ahead and did 25.)

30 single unders (Just jump roping.  This is really hard for me considering the fact that I haven’t done it in like 20 years or something! Now that I think about it, I was never really good at jump roping.  I was much better at sitting “on the hill” and running my mouth!)

400 meter run

I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back again in the morning!

I went and gave myself a little cancer in the tanning bed after that.  I KNOW. I KNOW.  Tanning beds are the devil and I have no business being in one, BUT I’m not feeling the whole looking like a ghost on my wedding day, so this was the next best thing.  I considered a spray tan, but have you ever had one?  They freaking STINK.  Like I want to vomit b/c I smell so bad after them.  Not for me! Plus I can’t risk getting it all over my ridiculously overpriced dress that I’m going to spend SIX hours of my life in.  Enough of that.

After tanning, I came home and got clean. Then the parents and I hit up Robert’s for lunch.  I hit a snag here.  First of all, the ONLY thing I’ve ever eaten from Robert’s was chicken fingers and chive fries.  Not my best choice when I need to fit into a dress in two weeks.  So then I was going to get the chef salad.  The waitress started talking about ham and I lost it.  I don’t even know what kind of ham comes in the chef salad at Robert’s, but all I could think about was the nasty little diced ham! Then I remembered the salad from yesterday in Mobile and thought, There’s no way in hell this salad could ever measure up to that. So, I changed my mind to the tuna salad.  I went to the salad bar, too.  It was a good choice, it was delicious and it filled me up!

We did some things for the wedding and then I ran to the local hell hole, aka Wal-Mart, to stock up on groceries.  I meant to be a good little blogger and take a pic of my stash, but once again, I completely forgot.  Ooooopss.  I’m trying to get better, I swear!

Anyway, it’s been a pretty busy and productive day.  I’m thinking about hitting up the park in a little bit for a short run or either a walk.  Holla!

I’ve Got A Plan

So, we’ve had internet issues today, which is NOT what I want to happen when I’ve just started the coolest blog on the net.  Anyway, AT&T graciously came back and got us hooked up again.  So now I have absolutely nothing to do but annoy the crap out of the two random people that are reading this!

As some of you may know, I’m getting hitched in 24 days.  I’m sure every single one of you have that date etched in your memory and will never forget it, too! I am surprisingly not stressed at all right this second.  That doesn’t mean that I won’t break down and have an anxiety attack in 10 minutes about how long the aisle at the First United Methodist church is. Until then, I’ve made a plan of attack!

I’ve made a workout plan for each day this week that includes two to three miles of cardio and a little bit of strength training.  So far, I’ve done really well! Here’s what I’ve got:

Monday – Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 1 and run 2 miles. Check!

Tuesday – Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 Level 1 and walk 3 miles.  Check again! Granted, The Boy and I walked ourselves to the coffee shop where I bought a sugar30DS filled iced coffee, but it’s the thought that counts, right?

Wednesday– Pinterest inspired workout and run 3 miles.  Check! The three miles was rough.  The wind out here is KILLER this week.  I pushed through and finished it, so that’s all that matters!

Thursday – Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 2 and walk 3 miles.

Friday – Pinterest inspired workout and run 2 miles.  (This one should be interesting! We’re going to see Zach Brown Band at the Houston Rodeo on Thursday night, so this may not happen.)

Saturday – Pick any Jillian workout that I want, and walk 2 miles.  If I get one of these done, I’ll be golden.

Sunday – Day o’ rest.  We’re going to watch Brantley Gilbert at the rodeo on Saturday, and I can’t promise I won’t be a drunken fool by the end of the show.

Can you tell I’m a little obsessed with Jillian Michaels? I think she’s so awesome and inspiring.  Well, that’s what I have so far.  I’m determined to fit into the really expensive BCBG dress that I spent an entire week’s worth of tip money on, so I need to stay on board with my eats, too.  I’ve had a weird tuna salad concoction every single day for lunch this week and we’re having baked chicken parmesan tonight.

If you want, you can follow me at Daily Mile.

Do you have a plan for your workouts every week?

If so, do you have any fun ideas for me to try that don’t require a gym membership?
